D. MICHELLE Douglas
Michelle Douglas joined Kalbian Hagerty in 2006 after previously practicing in California and Arizona. She has eleven years experience representing domestic and foreign clients before state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels and in arbitration in the U.S. and abroad.
Michelle primarily handles commercial and contract disputes and personal injury claims, and has experience representing embassies, foreign governments and their agencies. Her personal injury practice includes work on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving motor vehicle accidents, employment disputes and products liability. Michelle also has prior experience in real estate litigation, insurance bad faith, probate litigation, and partnership dissolutions.
Michelle received her law degree from the Washington College of Law at American University where she served as Editor in Chief of The Human Rights Brief. During law school, she also participated in WCL’s Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition, where she and her partner were Semi-Finalists and were awarded Best Brief.
