Damira Kamchibekova works in both litigation, corporate and tax practice groups.  She joined Kalbian Hagerty LLP in 2006.  Her litigation practice is primarily concentrated on cases involving foreign states and individuals, especially those covered under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act.
 
In corporate and tax matters, she handles a wide variety of issues, including but not limited to, federal income taxes, taxation of employees of foreign governments and international organizations, corporate law and related securities laws and regulations.

Ms. Kamchibekova received her first degree in law from University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 2004 graduating at the top of her class. 

In 2005, Ms. Kamchibekova received a Magister Juris degree from Oxford  University, England.

In 2006, she obtained her second Masters of Law degree (LL.M in International and Comparative Law) from George Washington University Law School, Washington D.C.  Ms. Kamchibekova was studying at the GWU Law School on a highly sought Thomas Buergenthal Scholarship and her LL.M. thesis on "State Responsibility for Extraterritorial Human Rights Violations" was published in 13 Buff. Hum. Rts. L. Rev. 87 (2007).

Ms. Kamchibekova is admitted to practice law in the State of New York only.  Practice in the District of Columbia is limited to cases in federal courts and agencies.  She is a native Russian and Uzbek speaker.
