Expertise in international
business transactions lies at the core of the firm's practice.
We have significant
experience in the structuring of international transactions,
international banking and finance, international trade
issues, and the resolution of trade and other commercial
disputes.
Our Abu Dhabi Office provides a stepping-stone to the
Gulf region. With a combination of strategic location,
receptive business climate, and favorable tax structure,
the United Arab Emirates is becoming the location of
choice for many companies doing business in the Middle
East, Central Asia, the Commonwealth of Independent States,
Africa, the Indian subcontinent and the Far East.
Launching Business in the U.A.E.
We regularly assist
U.S. and international firms in establishing a business
presence in the Gulf. Our attorneys
are experts in commercial agency and commercial companies
law. We can advise clients on which business arrangement
or entity is best suited to their needs, whether a commercial
agency contract, joint venture, joint stock company,
limited liability company, or free zone company. The
strong cross-cultural composition of our firm facilitates
negotiation between U.S. and Gulf-based companies and
helps our international clients to build sound business
relationships. We have extensive experience in alternative
dispute resolution. In addition, our ability as a fully
licensed U.A.E. law office to assist clients before U.A.E.
courts enables us to provide our international clients
with the full range of dispute resolution capabilities.
Expanding Business into the Gulf Region
The U.A.E. provides
a gateway to the economy of the entire Gulf region. We
have structured regional business
arrangements involving companies in several Gulf States.
Our attorneys have strong ties to several states and
governments in the region, and our firm easily navigates
among the various Gulf national economics. In addition,
the Firm has entered into affiliation and cooperation
agreements with law firms in Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, among
other Middle East countries.
